Started flyfishing in May of 2007.
Started building fly rods in March of 2008.
Started tying my own flies in June of 2008.
Fished my own flies for the first time using rods of my own building for the first time and caught fish. Seems obvious, but do not underestimate how cool that felt.
Cannot understand why someone, anyone, would not want to fly fish…? ? ?
At the same time, I am glad not everyone does.
New to fishing fiberglass rods. Must say it's pretty cool being able to feel the fish move almost before it actually does.
